The second Winter Cup Race was held December 11-12 in Wiena, and the racing venue included 3 categories: Modified, Stock, and 1:12 Mini. Over 80 drivers of many nationalities - Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia - attended this race, including some top drivers such as Peter Pinish, Thomas Pumpler, Martin Hudy, Michael Kramer and others.
Racing started on Saturday with open practice and group practice. This was my third race with my T2 car and I started with same setup that I used at the Orion Speed Weekend and Czech Nationals. Although the track had low grip, I was pleasantly surprised with the car's handling because it worked perfectly! After practice I was very satisfied because I was 0.3sec faster than others.
Qualifiers

Sunday started with 4 qualification rounds and continued with 3 finals. The 2 fastest qualifying times were counted together, and that was used to determine the starting positions for the finals. My car was perfect in all qualifiers. Although the track conditions were changing all the time, I did not need to change anything in my setup. I won all four qualification rounds in front of Peter Pinish and Thomas Pumpler. The difference between me and Peter was 18 seconds. I made also the fastest lap in the qualification rounds - 14.95sec. I was very happy not only because my lap time was under 15sec, but also because second fastest was Peter with 15.3 and then Thomas with 15.5.

Finals

The car was also perfect in the finals. I won the first two finals and so won this race! Peter was very fast in the first final. He took the lead after my mistake but 30 seconds before the end I took the lead again and won. The second final went without any problems and I won 4sec ahead of Peter.
